who Raffled a Snooker cue signed, personally by Ronnie O'Sullivan.

The Raffle was won by Mr Anthony Jackson, the winning ticket was number 108.

A cheque for £197 was presented to Carole Smith which will go towards helping suffers of MND in the local area.

The games of Billiards and Snooker, have been played at Romford Snooker Club, since the late 1920,s,

when the Hall, was established as a Temperance Hall,

it later became part of the 'Lucania' chain of Clubs. In 1974 Barry Hearn, purchased the 'Lucania' chain of Clubs.

It was at the Club, that Barry first spotted the talents of a young Steve Davis, playing on the clubs, table 13,

so forming one of sports greatest partnerships.

In 1982, Barry Hearn, sold the Lucania chain, to E. J. Riley (Billiards) Ltd., but retained the Romford branch,

which in 1989, he sold to the present owner Richard Willis. The present day Club, has twelve Snooker Tables, as well as an area for Pool and Darts.

Membership of the Club,
is £10, with Free Membership for Senior Citizens, who also enjoy 'half price'
table rates, everyday, between 10am and 7pm. For further information about the
